Been looking at some new wheels for weeks now. Every time I find a model which I like, it is only available in 8.5j 18" et40 (sometimes et50).

After having hundreds of posts, I still don't know if I should try this. Some say they have et35, some say they have et52. (All 8.5").

Currently my Fr is not more lowered then standard. Would I get into trouble when trying tires in 225/40/18 with a 8.5jx18 wheel ? Borbet's website says it will fit.

My yellow Leon with a Borbet CC 18" (probably look like 19" as MS-Paint.exe doesnt work that ideal):

Trying to find other wheels, I found another pair of 8.5j x 18: (Rondell #48)

Borbet seems like a solid manufacturer, I dont think the CC will be there lightest wheel. Can't find much about Rondell. Any comments ?

All I can say is that Rondell wheels would be my only choice for an Escort Cosworth !!! And if you need to ask about Borbet being a good manufacturer or not then I don't think you've done much research ! Borbet is used massively on the VAG scene, especially old school Golf Mk1/2/3 guys

Borbet is used often, but also very cheap. So could be, that everybody buys cheap wheels, instead of good wheels.
But it seems Borbet has low prices and good quality :)

Any comments on Dezent ? I like the Dezent F(7.5j) and Dezent M (8.0j).

Or any other 8.5j wheel ? I cant find many pictures of 8.5j, but probably because it sticks out to much ?

Dezent, made in Germany and TUV approved. We sell loads of Dezent wheels and have never had any problems with build quality or paint finish.

I got these: Rondell 0048 18" 8.5j et45 with Toyo T1-R 225/40/18 tires

I will make some photo's to show how they fit the arches. It fits very nicely :funk:

Yes, but those stick out a little, these have depth in the heart of the wheel. I think this gives better lighting effect.

The backwheel doesnt stick out, the front wheel, stays just within the limits :)
