As I said before the MKV Golf in the USA is $22,000
and £ £26,000 here ...its just the market price and the exhange rates ,
we are also here for you 24 - 7
I can 100% assure you that one kit will not fit all 1.8Ts
we have developed them specifically

Its funny, I've seen a couple of threads with people complaining about the US vs UK pricing of your products and I have to say complaining about it is a bit pointless, if people dont like the price then they should just pay less for what is presumably an inferior product.

However, it does seem to us (the consumer) that if the same product can be sold in the US for less money (and I believe you guys ship them to the US? and presumably have to pay for this) then you guys are making more margin on the same products in the UK than the US. As a result of this I think some people would argue that you could sell more units in the UK by lowering your margin (as I am sure you are aware) meaning better prices for us (which lets face it, is what we all want).

I am not in any way criticsing your products, pricing, service or trying to give you marketing advice as you clearly dont need it! ;) I'm just trying to put across how I think most consumers view this kind of marketing and hence why this has been brought up in a couple of threads recently.

:D

Anway, back on topic.....what are the dimensions of the forge intercooler for the LCR?

Maybe if there are a few of us looking for FMIC, try and get another group buy with forge - obviously still going to be expensive but least we are getting a quality product!

What do people think?

i wouldnt touch the cheap one due to probable fitting trouble but 800 notes is alot for wot is in essance two pipes a steel radiator with 2 holes and a slightly bent bumper whitch probably cost nowt to mod . but u cant argue with the new power gains just by lowering the intake temps, decisions decsions

Think everyone would have one if it was 500 bucks, know i would but it ain't gonna happen, you could do a DIY kit if you can find someone skilled enough to do the pipework!

If you get some bends and some silicone hose it can be done with someone with a bit of know how, my mates, just put a very very large front mount on his L200 pickup with a 3.0 Supra Twin Turbo engine in it! pipe work was relativly easy!

2 Points for you guys to consider

The dimensions of the core is: 510mm x 165mm x 70mm.

First;-
The above is a pretty small Intercooler it's only 16.5cm tall !!!!

Second;-
A lot of the forge Intercoolers are quite cheap e.g this Ecsort Cossie one for about £340+Vat
http://www.forgemotorsport.co.uk/content.asp?inc=product&cat=0013&product=FMINT097

The Reason for the higher cost for the LCr etc seems to be;-
- Lots of additional pipework to change the LC / LCR SMIC's to FMIC
- The redesigned crash bar which not only helps with mounting but if you fit an FMIC and remove the crash bar your Insurers may not be happy. If you declare this Ithink you would struggle to get insured full stop

the thing is forge are able to prove that their FMIC does work where most companies that offer a cheaper option are not willing to put their neck on the line as they can not prove it
