Lol calm down.. it's only an arm rest. Got nothing to do with being an old man or not, some people like resting their arm on something while they're driving, some don't.

hahaha i know mate, it would just do my head in that's all, ALTHOUGH my dad has an arm rest in his focus and its lush being a passenger in a car with an arm rest lol

Haha there is no limits to your blunt honesty is there lol

I think it depends on what type of arm rest you have as to whether they are any good. The folding type that sit high up like in the Fabia, 1m leon, FIAT Stilo, Alfa Mito etc are pants (in my opinion) and get in the way. The arm rests that are level with the gear stick so your arm is straight are great, like the BMW rests and, it would seem, the genuine 1p leon rest.

I would like to get one, but 130+ is just a bit much for me at the moment.

If you modify it correctly its pretty sturdy, dont get me wrond you cant stick all your weight on it. But it's more than upto resting your arm on which is really only what there designed for, u can lean on it a little....the main issue is getting the height rite...believe me it WILL sit to high standard U WILL have to modify it to get the right height but it not hard to do just takes some careful cutting..I'll look for my write up today or write a new one..

Hi mate, any luck with finding the write up?

Right sorry i forgot, its on page 561 pics and a little write up of how i modifed it...

I have fitted this and put pictures  look several posts ago

Thought it looked familiar! I still think the seller may have listed the the wrong way round. I just cannot see how the 1m rest would actually fit in the old Leon!

I might bite the bullet and get one when funds permit. The one that is supposedly for th r 1m leon that is, not the one that has already been tried!

The seat one is a better match with the fabric too , its a shame i want one but to me i can't justify the cost of the seat one guess i will have to do without, lol

Agreed with Jarre! I just bought the oem one and it's pretty good and easy to install great purchase!

Not sure if anyone is still interested (I'm guessing not), but here is some proof that they have got them the wrong way round also further incentive to get the proper seat one

This one looks far too big for my liking! Seems better than other options but still looks too awkward.

I contacted the seller regarding this and they're still adamant that the 1p one is for the 1p and the 1m one is for the 1m. But again, as said in one of the previous posts, I cant justify spending £130 on an arm rest (especially as I've just spent £350 on an aftermarket stereo)

Jarre / jimbobcook i think £130 just for something to rest my elbow on is a bit steep , ive had cars 15 years ago that had them as standard , i miss the arm rest but i don't know if i £130 miss it .
Are you still going to Wetherby jarre i might have a go with yours and see what i think ;)
