Mike are you running Sachs kit with dmf like me?
I find if your on over run in say 2nd gear at near idle I hear some transmission whine.
It never done it before so putting it down to no springs in clutch plate to dampen it out.
Not fair noisy but I notice it.

I never noticed it on my last Sachs kit in my fr although the cover has been modified to make the pedal lighter and smoother maybe due to that

Oh back on topic I contacted awesome regarding the free update to stage 2 and they charge £50 so same as revo then?

Interesting and good to watch.
Why do Revo compare their mk6 Gti to Apr's mk5 Gti?
Although they show similar power are they the same engine?

no not same engines , Turbo is different , IHI on new TSI engines iirc , cylinder head flows differently , fuel pump is capable of running stage 2+ without the need to be upgraded.

There was a write up somewhere which basically said the new TSI engines (golf gti mk6 ect) were very strong and would make better power if treated to a KO4 conversion than the S3 engine variants Cupra included.

If that's so, it seems odd that VW go back to the older unit for the higher powered cars - such as the recent GTI Edition 35 (and Golf R etc.)?

It is odd yes. maybe they did not see fit the development time for the k04 variant, as there are many many more times the number of cars sold with the smaller turbo.
