lol i think my leon does though!

it seems to only be when the fans are on!
also when i open the drivers door when its been raining, there is a LOAD of water on the sill, but i have always thought, if it is there then it cant be on the carpet?!
car smells like an old mans wee stained pants YUMMY

it will have got onto the carpet.
It fills the space on the sill, then 'overflows' onto the carpet. The plastic used inthis area doesnt appear to show any signs of water overflow so until you see it you dont believe it.

Yeah seat out job, its really easy disconnect battery for 10 mins then disconnect airbag connector if you have one, undo 2 bolts at fron and then remove.
Have to remove plastic trim down side of the car and in footwell but once can get carpet up enough I just used a stanley to cut out the drivers side underlay as its all one bit sheet, then removed and but on the boiler for a few days and dried out, it held alot of water.

Good luck..

once you get the problem sorted, get a bottle of "new car fragrance", made by the chemical brothers. Its a green bottle, and will cost ya around £5. Smells lovely..

well, the car definatly has water under the carpet (the carpet itself is bone dry) however the worst smell is from the airvents! i checked and smelt the pollen filter and it seems fine, but i suppose i should change it really!
