Just wondering if anyone has had the same problem or knows what it could be?

Opened up my ashtray to plug in my charger, opened fine as normal.

After i charged my phone i went to put the lid back up but it wouldn't click into place, as if it wouldn't catch. Now it stays open permanently.

Any ideas?? Will i have to replace the ashtray?

Cheers

you dont need a new one its a simple fix takes 10 mins ... remove it by unsrewing the screw under the pull out ash part .. look in side it and there is a little pin you need to push it back and it will work again there are pics some where on this site .. your see what i mean when you take it apart tho

u cant have the shelf in the standard dash - you need the sat nav dash. Price for conversion will be circa £350 nowadays.

to be fair, its not just for a shelf - it's to reposition all centre console parts to fit in the double-DIN Sat-nav unit or similar. You actually lose the ashtray altogether with that dash.

Does anyone else's rattle?! It's really annoying! Even when there's nothing in it it still makes an irritating noise, almost like it's not shut properly but it looks closed.

Worn? as in I'll need a new one? I better do that before I rip it out with my bare hands while i'm driving along!
