Yeah might be worth a look. Has anyone replaced in with anything else? Wondering about fitting an iphone holder in it's place.

Nice one. Think i will pull mine out later and have a look, failing that i'll just need to bite the bullet and get a new one.

Mine does that creekin noise too so might be the ashtray, hopefully that will sort itself out when i've fixed the ashtray, the dash can be a real pain in the a**e sometimes with the ratlles.

The back of my car squeaks too around the seats it sounds like.... Can be really annoying when music is down low.

you dont need a new one its a simple fix takes 10 mins ... remove it by unsrewing the screw under the pull out ash part .. look in side it and there is a little pin you need to push it back and it will work again there are pics some where on this site .. your see what i mean when you take it apart tho
I've opened mine, but I can't see that pin :(. Can someone help me finding these pictures or explain me in details how to try to fix it?

PS If it's worn out and needs a replacement can I get from Toledo or it's different one?

If the pin has gone (lost it...) then unless you can find something that matches it precisely - you're better off getting a whole new ash tray. I tried fixing mine with othe similar size pins, but the plastic surrounding the pin was shot.

Lesson learned - the ashtray can only hold so much weight in loose change :cartman:

A toledo one should be fine.

I posted pics up recently, will be on here somewhere
Thank you for the directions. I've found those pics and in the same thread there was a link to another one (seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=357246), in which I found pics how to fix the broken pin. Superglued it (and the broken plastic around it) and it's staying shut for now. It even takes 3 or 4 pushes to open it, but since i'm not a smoker and there is a no smoking rule in the car, it satisfies me.

Luckily or not the pin was still inside, so it's fixed for now. Let's hope it will last at least a year :funk:.
