Blackcountry Boy!
Firstly I hope you all had a good christmas.

Hope somebody might me able to help with a small problem I've had with my Aura headunit/diskchanger. Got in car this morning and started up. Drove off my drive and turned on my Aura headunit but all that was displayed on the headunit screen was 'MAGAZINE' switched to tape and then radio, all was working fine, tried to go back to CD but again it just said 'MAGAZINE' on the headunit display.
I'm able to eject the magazine and all cds are in correctly, I've even removed the changer from the car to have a look if anything could be jamming any of the mechanizms inside, but it all looks okay.
I have noticed that when you put the magazine into the changer it doesn't make the usual sounds that it would (sound of the reader moving between cd's?)
If anyone has any advice on what I could try next, otherwise could anybody point me in the direction of a replacment changers.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Jon

Does the magazine go all the way into the changer or does it stick out a little bit? I had a problem with mine when new; the plastic roller that presses down on the top of the magazine to keep it located firmly had popped out of its mounting and rolled down to the back of the magazine slot, preventing it from going fully home. It's white, and was the devil to locate.

Trying to get it out I managed to knock it into the depths of the changer and had to remove the whole thing. Now I'd use a blob of blu-tack on the end of a stick.

Have resolved the issue now.

Seems the reader that moves accross the CD's was jammed and wasnt being released when the magazine was inserted.

Removed the changer from the glove box, and gave it a very technical shake, plugged it back in and all was woking fine.

Had no issues since so hopefully it wont happen again.

The changers arent half pants though, mine drives me mad with its ERROR or NO DI3K symbols grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Mines been fine so far, but having been looking to replace the standard head unit, so I won't be that fussed if mine does die!
