The correct trim is definitely 1P2858063N87 for aftermarket head units. All UK models up to MY 2010 have the N87 trim code (ona silver)
Clips 3B0867190 may also be required.
Hope this helps.

Yeah its good to see help given when its needed, makes this site really good. Personally though I would complain to the dealer who fitted this telling them they had fitted the wrong surround for your HU.

I have spoken to them about it today, but trouble is, they actually did me a special price regarding the fitting, which I appreciated.
I was told they don't normally get involved in fitting other makes of Head units appart fior VW Seat ones - so I can now see where the mistake could of been made.
They have made a good job of the Hubs and fitting the wiring & reverse camera - so credit where credit is due. They might of let it down, with fitting the fascia, but for a £8/£9 piece of plastic, its not worth falling out about.

i agree, it doesnt sit great.

That's my Pioneer headunit. Another reason it sticks out is due to the curve of the dash. Also as this unit does quite a lot of things, the unit itself is going to be bigger than othe double din units and there's a lot wires on the back of it and not much space to put them in. I've gotten used to it now sticking out but the photo in the first post shows that it hasnt been fitted correctly.

Im still cheaper :funk:
Sorry couldnt resist that
Seriously, TPS are VAG Trade Parts Specialists. Owned by VAG and usually run by a contracted dealer for a fee. With VW, Audi. SEAT and Skoda parts under one roof (or at least orderable from one central point), the idea is to make every showroom parts dept a retail outlet only, and to provide parts to their workshop. The motor trade will be encouraged to use TPS rather than make a shiny showroom look untidy. Its a good marketing exercise with a proper book of popular parts, but they dont do anything your local dealer can do if they want.
