J2VW, These are still a bit of a well kept secret. They're as good as or better than Michelin Pilot Sports, slightly less grip than Goodyear Eagle F1s but they last longer.

Fortuna F2000 205/55 R16 91Vs, they're £36.70 each from mytyres.co.uk and don't worry about skimping, they're made by Goodyear.

BTW, you shouldn't have H rated tyres on a 1.8T, they're rated lower than the top speed of the car.

I have a set of Falken ZIEX-512's on my Toledo, pretty heavy car and thrown around a lot, they are good in all conditions i find and not wearing too quick as yet. 2 fitted balanced and alignment for £148.

I just got 4 Avon ZZ3s 225/40/18 put on my LCR.

I paid £380 all in balanced and fitted. Cant go wrong really. 100 times better feel than the Pirellis that were on there when I bought it from the dealer.

Superb grip in the wet too.

Highly recommend the Avon ZZ3.

Had 2 goodyear eagle nct2 fitted for £128 inc (205`55`16) "w" rated,168mph I think.I wanted to fit michelin pilots again but they were approx £90 a corner.I`m picking up new 18`s this weekend with yokohamas , I have`nt had those tyres on a car since my mk1 XR3

My experience with yoko's is that they're shite. Well, crap in the wet anyway. I shat myself going round a wet corner for the first time with them on. Eagle F1s I had previously were ace, but had to swap to toyo t1-Rs when goodyear wouldn't do my size anymore. They are also very good and were extremely cheap!
