Cheers mate.I will have a look gonna phone blueflame first I think liking the sound of them lol I aint seen any red cupras around here either,do you go up blackwood cruise thursday nights? only seen 1 other black one and a nice yellow one which is slamed.Only been up there a few times though.

Today:

Not much time today and was freezing out so decided on fixing my window switches as the driver side ones no longer worked.

Took door handle off and got access to the switches:

Took both the switches out and there was loads of gunk inside them,so needed a clean to get them working tidy again lol

All these parts needed cleaning so much crap inside them

Cleaned all the parts and circuit board with alcohol cleaner,no problems and thier all working sweet now.

Boring I know but just something I had to get done and saved myself some money from buying new ones lol

Also sanded down and re-sprayed my interior door handle panels in mat black,get some pics of them finished tomorrow.

And Garage is open tomorrow so I can get my cambers and tracking done!!

Also turned my car on today and the Engine temp light came on and was beeping.Could this be because it was to cold :S tried a quick search can't find nothing so anyone know lol

thats usually a lack of coolant, if you have just done the cambelt check that the water pump isnt leaking mate. Also the sensors play up, i have had two new header tanks in two years!

Think its my coolant level its just under the low mark,going to get some more tomorrow and try that. Don't think I put enough back in when the water pump pissed it out when i changed it,Cheers mate

Nah mate dont go to any of the cruises, not really my scene up there.
Theres a few Cupras kicking around our area, my cous lives just up the road from me has a red one aswell. Ive seen that yellow one driving around.
Dont think you will go far wrong with either the Blueflame or Milltek.
Where you taking your car for the camber and tracking? Down mocal in Pont?

Up blackwood way can't think of the name of the garage its close to Kings garage and the petrol station dunno if you know it,going down early tomorrow morning to try get booked in,was shut today when I got there and my tyres are getting bad!!! what mods you done to your cupra then mate?

Hey mate.

Gotta say nice car, and nice work on it too. Looks like you're really giving it the attention it needs.

You get your sump plug to stop leaking yet? Should just be a matter of changing the copper washer between the plug and sump.

As for your coolant level, its quite normal for the level to appear slightly lower in extreme cold temps. Had mine bleep at me a few weeks back and it seriously only needed a little bit extra.

As for exhaust and DP, it would be good to think about this before you buy one, because you say you;re going for bigger turbo coming year, and not every DP fits on every turbo...else you'll be buying twice.

If you're not going for bigger turbo than say the k03s then I would really suggest 2.75 DP. 3" will really on;y add sound.

Nuh aint done it yet,I got a new sump bolt and washer ready,just waiting till the end of January till I service it again il swap them then. I don't think il be going bigger than K03S,not planning to anyway lol also what is the difference between 100 cell and 200 cell Sport Cat?

If its not leaking too much oil then shouldn't be a problem. Understandable to wait, because you'll have to change your oil to change the plug and washer.

as for 100 cell and 200 cell I am not entirely sure.
I drive a decat, which I swap back to OEM before MOT.
If you're going for K03s with all the mods and want +- 240bhp then I would opt for a 2.75 DP max. As said rest will add only noise imo.

uhm...let's just say you get better at it after doing it some time.

The bolts are quite known to get very stuck (the 4 that connect DP to turbo)

Now I always put some copper grease on those bolts which helps them come undone slightly. But yeah I do it on my driveway without a ramp so you should be fine

it never did for me. It does for others...

Sometimes the second lambda sensor (post cat) sits in too deep. what you can do then is weld a large nut on top of the hole in the DP and screw the sensor in there so it doesn't catch as much passing fumes and cause your engine to run rich/lean or throw a code etc

Just orderd a Milltek cat back system from Awesome lol (twin jet pipe),gonna get that and fit it myself,then plan on taking it down to Longlife for them to make a decat pipe

How easy is the milletek to fit? can't say ive ever fitted an exhaust system lol

Also orderd a PSI turbo gauge and pod, and started fiiting some rear speaker mounts,get some pictures up soon.

Hey fella, exhaust should be okay to fit although id rather pay someone to do it as it could be awkward if your gonna do it on the driveway!
Have you seen the Front mount in the for sale section?
If your about tomoz ill pop dwn and have a butchers, if you want jus give us a pm and let me know?
How come that Garage is still shut then, thought you had it booked in?

Hats off to you for doin most of the work on the car yourself mate, saves a good bit of cash.

Get some 20mm rear spacers on the car before you lower it as well, makes a MASSIVE difference to the feel of the car

Hey mate, yeh was thinking on doing that lol but no fun then,think il try fit it,then if I fail pay someone lol Yeh I will be working on the car tomorrow I just hope my exhaust comes now as it will be my last day off work. nuh I was going down there so I could book myself in or maybe have it done on the spot,they should be open tomorrow so il be down there early in the morning.What does butchers mean by the way lol
