Im Sure There Was A Thread On Here About It, And They Are No Good, More Than Likely You Will Need A Stronger 1!!

Love the car mate!
Seen you around Stenson and it makes an awesome noise, what have you fitted?

Yeah, it's the standard plastic one. I have no idea if they will be any good after a remap though, that's what I need to find out. I am not sure they'll hold the extra boost that well, hopefully someone can advise.

I'm running one with a remap a k&n open cone and a power flow cat back , sounds MINT 

Im Running a GFB Hybrid Bov on mine with cold side reclocation kit...

Out of the SPlit-r & turbosmart kompact I have tryed over the years of owning 20vt the GFB is far the loudest...Nice Loud high pitch bov noise and a nice Flutter on low RPM....

EPIC valves tbh

I see this is an old thread, I wonder if the old thread, but does anyone here know about DVs causing LCRs to go into limp mode?

I have a Forge 007p on mine and it still occasionally goes into limp mode high up the rev range, and I still have not been able to figure out exactly why. Perhaps the standard Bosch recirculating valve would be better?

Like I said before mines still running the Bosch one after a remap plus other stuff and I have no loss of power or limp mode etc due do me being new to leons I'm not exactly the best person to answer your question but after educating myself a little bit on here it seems (as far as I can understand) it can't be doing my engine/turbo any good so by the weekend I'll have my 007 fitted.
I'll get back to you with any variations/loss of power etc

If the original bosch valve is in good condition it`ll be fine.

If the valve is broken it needs replacing. either with another bosch or 007p dv. Im not sure what issue you have.

The point i was trying to make is the original bosch valve can handle remapped boost levels, its used on some BT set ups. The problem is after so many years the rubber diaphram perishes. So yours may be past its best. If its the orignal dv on your car its yonks old.

The nice thing about the forge is it has no diapham to perish, but it will need regular servicing otherwise it can stick or leak.

The bosch looks rubbish but works well but youll eventually wear out the diaphram.

The APR R1 is a beefed up diaphram that needs no servicing and should last forever.

They will all do the job

Just fitted a induction kit with custom pipe to get more airflow to filter. the filter is a ripspeed one i had in shed, brand new mind in box, i used 4inch round solid pipe with a 2inch reducer, the 4inch is coming in were fog light should be, running standard factory diverter valve and it makes a resonable loud Whooshing i will put up a you tube link up later.
