changing the DP is bloody awkward! :(

you 100% need the car in the air for this... i would certainly not attempt it on axle stands! trust me!

well in that case well done ... its just i know too well how much of a pig it is!... im on my 3rd DP!!!!!

EDIT: just realised yours is a cupra and thus a k03 turbo... i think* they are a LOT easier to do, because the bend in the DP isnt as bad at all!

tho i may be wrong!

how come james you seem to go through everything so much faster than everyone else!!!

My uncle has an e46 me, WHAT a car!!! the only **** thing about it is the smg gearbox it changes to slow, even when it's set on the quickest change....

i had 2 of the first design DPs and they snapped at the same weld so BF redesigned the DP! new one has been fine touch wood!

as for the SMG gearbox... its quicker than the manual 6 speed... CSLs ONLY came with SMG too! ;)

i'm 99% sure the manual is faster than the smg??? I was told anyway went i went with my uncle bmw reakon 4.8 for the manual and 5.2 for the smg!!
This was what i was told..... How true it is i'm not sure. I do know they will say anything to get a sale!!!!!

yea they will!

put it this way lol... if the manual was quicker the CSL would have had it! ;) (CSL is SMG ONLY!)

Quick Q. As the power gain from a full turbo back system is relatively small I assume that performance wise there is no effect from fitting the cat back, it's simply about the look and sound?

How much difference in the sound is there between the two?
