I fitted my new blueflame oval exhaust last week and i really pleased with the noise and the fitment of it until i realised that it is melting my bumper! Has any1 else has this problem? If so how do i fix it? Also could any1 with the same exhaust please post some pics up so i cant see how it fits?

Cheers

Melting as in the ovals touching the side, or from the heat of the exhaust? Mine touched the side a little but nothing you can see, and even 343bhp and going flat out in 5th never melted anything (well apart from a piston) all I ever got was a little bit of carbon build up on the bumper due to the de-cat.

As Craig! said is it touching on the sides? If so i would have thought a sligh adjustment is needed or maybe a couple of longer hangers. Get a pic up if you can.

Its touching at the back of the plastic exhaust trim bit. I got under the car yesterday becuase all i could smell is burning plastic. Do you think long exhaust rubbers would do it? Did every1 else just use there original ones that came with the standard exhaust?

Exhaust hangers would be the best bet i reckon as it is pretty close, Is it knocking on the plastic bit at all? as i had that problem with my milltek, an other option would be to remove the hanger from the backbox near the tail pipe and put some washers in between the bracket and the underside of the car proberly 3x 2mm washers on eachside should do the trick. I litterly removed mine from my milltek this morning after i eventully got it sitting perfect with no knocking on the rear beam :D

Cheers for the help, i think im going to see if i can buy some longer exhaust rubbers 2moz and if that doesnt work i will go for the washer idea! Is this a bit of a common problem then?
