Boost gauge back light...

Could someone please help me with finding a guide for this. I don't want to bother poor Ian (cupra power) much more as i think i can do it myself. Just need to know what to wire the wires into. I've done a search and all i can find is stuff about fitting a volt gauge and oil pressure, not back lights.

PLEASE HELP. WANT TO DO IT BEFORE TONIGHT.

do another search, I found it when I wanted to do mine.

It connects in at the dimmer switch for the interior dash lights, that way you can dim the boost gauge along with the rest of the dash

same principle.

you need to remove the cover under the dash, it just clips on, put your hand up and remove the connectors into the switches to turn the lights on.

wire up following this pic ( borrowed from www.leoncupra.co.uk )

red = +ive
black = gnd

This is what i found but it doesn't show what points to wire in. I'm not thick but i don't want to mess it up. Are those blue box's extra fuses or just proper connectors??

they are scotch block connectors.. avoid!! solder them in for a better job!

it shows clearly where to connect them

your ground goes to the thick brown connector at the end of the connector.

your positive goes to the 2nd little wire in.

Thanx for telling me. I would of guessed dat but as i say i don't want to blow things up!!!! I'm defo not an electrician. Can i use chocolate boxes??? I think thats the term my dad uses!!!!

It's all done. All soldered in. Luckily i have a nice boss that lets me do whot i want as long as i get my work done and a ICE installation shop next door with all the tools. Looks the nuts in the light can't wait for the sun to go in!!! BRING ON THE NIGHT!!!!!
