What should i be seeing on the boost gauge, it seems to spkie at 7PSI and holds a constant 5PSI, this is on a BAM LCR the range is -22vac to 7 psi.

Standard LCR should peak around 12psi and hold around 9-10psi. check for boost gauge hose for splits :)

main place i'd check it where it comes through the bulkhead; just incase it has snagged something. check connection both ends too. Does the car appear to be driving normally, or is there an obvious lack of power? might be worth getting it on vagcom before you go to the effort of checking for split hoses to see if there is another fault logged causing the low boost?

Is it got anything to do with me taking the feed from the top of the DV, should it be somewhere else? A friend just mentioned to get closer to the manifold.

Vacuum is vacuum, but, the dump valve is controlled by the N249 as well, just take it from the FPR, which gets it's from the inlet manifold.

better to take it off the fpr than dv apparently... but mine comes off the dv and it reads as it should so i doubt its your issue.

you really need vagcom to tell you the real boost levels... only way to be 100% sure.

I know this may sound silly, but when I fitted my Boost gauge, I'd unplugged the N75 elec connector, and forgot to plug it back in after finishing the install.

I got a very similar issue, where it would hold a very constant 4-5 psi ALL the time.

Yes I know I was stupid, especially as I was asking all sorts of questions on here to try & work out why it wasn't boosting.

Anyway, may be worth checking there before you start pulling everything apart ;)
