just fitted my tim boost gauge as per the guide in the styling section and have noticed that the needle is rather shakey any ideas on what may be causing this. Also i only have two wires on red and black where will these wire go on the wiring in the light switch.
was the gauge less than 30 quid, if so bin it and buy a autometer or other quality gauge matey as they are dampened.
On the other hand make sure you have it plumbed in somewhere decent (ie top of dv) for a steady reading.
The TIM gauges aren't a bad gauge, my mate uses une in his mini turbo running 17psi.
Where is it plumbed into???
As for wiring it in, i've wired it into the fader, (makes it brighter / duller) plus it stays on all the time the ignition is on like the rev counter etc... 2 wires. there is a diagram in the guide on leonturbo.co.uk or something. do a search on gauge backlight.
Have you plumbed the boost gaige into the brake servo line? Sometimes this can cause the needle to flutter, your best bet is to T it into the vaccum line that runs from the top of the DV.
yes mate. Will move it in the morning by any chance was it u that done the guide for the oil pressure guage craig. As one of the guys had said there was a guide done but i cant find it.
Yep, I'm the one, I'm going to update it later on with a bit more info... However if you search for previous posts by me and the words 'Oil Pressure' you should bring up a good few posts all with pictures.
i had the exact same problem, had it plumbed into the top of the dv, then moved it to the green nipple on the servo pipe and it was all over the place, moved it back to the d/v and its fine.
