So basically pump the compressed air into the engine by blocking off the intercoolers?

Not Quite.
Remove the engine from the equation all together.
You are just left with your Boost hoses & intercooler, Disconnected from the inlet Plenum & the positive charge side of the Turbo, Block one end & seal & pressurise the other.
You will then be pressure testing the pipes, clamps & intercooler Etc.

It's the only real way you can test the system in situ.

Cheers.

I finally convinced myself to fit my new TIP and guess what ? I found my boost leak :D. It actually was just under the DV from the cabin side exactly under the jubilee clip :D. Im so happy now after such a long time i probably found it :D. But the other thing is im relaly having tough time to fit the new TIP down onto turbo inlet. :S I dont know what to do ... maybe i will use DPJ advice from one of the guides to take the water pipe out of the way...

That metal water pipe is a pain in the arse aint it! I found spraying some white grease on the TIP and water pipe helped no end, went in much easier like that :)

I did it finally ;p. And as somebody said before it was really blood, sweat and tears to get it done :D. Best part is ... that i still have fault code for a boost leak 17005 if i remember correctly :/. I clear codes and it comes back ... :<. When i was at JKM garage they told me that my MAF is showing too high readings and that may be the cause as well of that fault code.

did you manage to get the water pipe bolted back on? Mine is still loose as I gave up trying to find the bolt hole

Eurocarparts in Mill street up by the nissan garage, will do you a MAF for about £68 exchange. Or there is a GSF shop at the bath road end of Cippenham that should do them.
