boost on a 1.8t cupra

hi every one, im new to this so sorry if its in the wrong section,

i want to turn the boost up on my 1.8t cupra, having a look at it you dont seem to be able to do it by hand, do you need to do it through the ECU or am i been thick as f**k

A remap is pretty much the only way, this will increase boost and fueling and also adjust fuel and ignition timing to gain the extra power.

Have a go with the search button and you will get hours of reading up to do.

On the Mk3 the actuator had threads on the arm that you could move the bolt up or down... that would adjust when the wastegate opened (and hence raised lowered the boost) don't know if that's changed between the mk3->mk4

Although I should prob mention that if the car sees more boost than it's expecting it'll probably go into limp mode...

You can crank the WG actuator and 'clamp' tha MAP sensor to stop limp mode (as the MAP sensor nevers reaches 5volts = peak boost)...You can then adjust timing and fuelling with 'Unisettings'...

OR you could get flashed
