brake discs and pads options for brembo users

How many miles have you done with them mate? my discs are scored after 7k miles!!! eek!!!

i've got bremo cross-drilled driect replacement discs on my LCR with EBC redstuff pads. they are great once they've got a bit of heat in them. i'll probably go for ferodo pads next time though because if you stamp on the middle pedal the redstuffs tend to be a bit noisey.

Bit melodramatic maybe, but there's a lot to be said for buying tried and tested pads - not just the cheapest

Fortunately, with a community this size there's plenty of opportunity for people to try out new products and rate and review them for the rest.


I found some 2-piece discs for £600 the other night ... just need to remember where

Other alternatives like the Galfer 2-piece discs and those in the Brembo GrandTurismo kit will set you back upwards of £800

Priced up the Alcon discs I've got at EARS Motorsport in Macclesfield and they wanted £300+ each

Emailed you about a 2nd set of bells for a mate's A3 - his discs are APs apparently, but the vanes on his and mine appear to stop short of the outer edge of the disc. Are you still using AP discs or did you find a cheaper alternative?

New disk supply, not AP now.

AP rotors were previously £220+vat each!

a little over £250 from TTS roadsport, you would have to either start a thread in their section or give them a call on 01234 855555. they reckoned that brembo don't charge extra for their cross-drilled discs over the OE spec ones.

cheaper as you have found out.
got better service life from the new make than i did on the last 2 sets of AP's I have run on my ibiza.
now running the same bells on 330mm disks on my ibiza, recently modded front end.

Galfer pads are supposed to be oem quality or better and the 1055 compound is supposed to be fast road use! yes there are now some Issues with scored disc but I didnt get em just cos they were cheap but also on the reputation of Galfer! Just a shame I bought a pig without knowing also a member on here worked very hard to get us a good deal on these and he got caught too with a very good expensive setup, until I know better this may just turn out to be an off batch of pads and Galfer will sort it! Fingers Very crossed!!!

I got cought out also (cost me about £100 (not via group buy) and could have got some far cheaper.

Interesting someone is trying to sell cross drilled brembos on ebaly for...............................................................................£380 ish LOL
