Was wondering if the calipers from a Porsche 964 / 993 would fit our cupra's?

Thank you

Hmm....Rotors...not sure what they are. Could you explain?

And spacers of 5mm will do? It will only be for the front..

17" also needed then. The caliper really too big for the regular cupra wheels?

cheers

I started this thread because I can get the Porsche calipers reasonable cheap. I really want to go big brake, however am not gonna spend the 900 + which they cost new...

so is there other options I could look into?

Brake upgrade to 312mm

ok I am not gonna open a new thread but still have questions concerning brake upgrade

I can get a set off a Golf IV / Seat Leon for a very good price

The set is 312mm x 25mm which is the size I would like. It includes front discs, pads, and callipers and goodridge strengthened brake lines.

Now I know that the Leon/Golf have 5x100 and we have 4x100, however the discs in question have 9 equally sized holes to mount them. DOes this mean it could fit on 4x100 as well?

Next question is what has to be done to the callipers to get them to fit?

cheers guys

search my friend.

you gotta re drill the discs and grind some off the calipers.

ive a set on my cordoba vario but i didnt do the conversion, already on there when i bought it:)

So the 9 holes in the discs are not like some alloys which will fit on various (ie 4x100, 5x100, 4x108 etc)??

and what do you grind off the calliper and how much?

6mm off the inside face of the caliper carrier lands it bang in the middle of a new oe disc

so its real easy like that?
nothing to change with the bearing part?

and then all i need is 312mm x 25mm discs with fittment 4x100?

6mm off the inside face of the caliper carrier lands it bang in the middle of a new oe disc

ok there is something I don;t understand

like i said I can buy calipers off a golf IV / seat leon. They are fitted with 312mm x 25mm discs at the moment.
Now i know the discs are 5 stud whereas i need 4 stud.

What i don;t understand is why do i need the grind off the inside of the caliper to get it to fit on the disc? Isn't it on there already???

the hub or disc (cant remeber which) on the ibiza is a different offset so to compensate you need to mill 6mm from the inside face of the carrier.

Just redrill the extra 2 holes on an OE 312mm disc, there isnt anything off the shelf with the right dimensions and a 4x100 pcd.

Ok I went ahead and bought the set off the Golf IV / Leon

It contains 2 x 312mm discs
2 callipers
2 carriers
2 sets of pads
Goodridge strengthened brakelines
all for 200 quid...seems like a good price

My question is, what kind of place can drill the discs for me to fit 4 x 100?

cheers
