Brakes squealing in reverse

Anyone had this?

when I am reversing and I brake, my brakes squek......but doesnt happen when i am going forward......

any suggestions?

Its one of those standard fit Leon ‘extras’.

It very common, have a search but I think nearly everyone’s does it

they squeak cause they are fashioned and used to going forward with use, reversing for a mile or so will stop it if you feel it is too annoying to put up with!

as said search for this problem.. very common.

and there is a fix which u can have done under warranty!

i think its part of an ibiza hand brake bracket which can be used to modify the Leon one and somehow it fixes the braking squal! (it worked on my car!)

u should find the part numbers and everything in ur search!

hmmm thanks guys, well got a service due in just under a thousand miles....so will talk to dealers then.......

Mine does that too, i was starting to wonder if i had a bent disc shield or summit, so i can sleep easier now.
