You're talking about a load dependant valve which you havent got. its all controlled by the ABS which isnt the best

To be honest I can't understand my own posts at the moment, just woke up lol!!

What I mean is the cupra has a standard bias valve, than when your car is lowered ideally needs to be reset, right?? Is this bias valve just simply that, a brake bias valve or does it also tie into the ABS system?

I haven't looked into what I'm going to do with the Cupra, but others car's I have done have never had ABS to begin with (Mk2 Golf). So two bias valves were added into the brake lines (one left, one right) and set up accordingly, the OEM lever-valve-type-thing was junked. This helped stabilise the rear a lot more under braking.

Would like to do the same with the Cupra, just haven't looked under the car at the rear beam to see if the standard bias valve has any links to the ABS at all? My guesses are it doesn't but I prefer to check than presume.

Your ibiza is not like a mk2 golf.
all biasing is dealt with (badly) by the ABS pump.
you dont have a brake compensator on the ibiza rear beam like golfs do.

Ahh right, explains why no one could understand what I was rambiling on about.

So the only way to correct the Ibiza's brake bias set up would be to ditch the ABS unit, fit new copper lines throughout and use adjustable brake bias valves and an MOT rolling road to set up the bias.

you could try plumbing in the twin bias valves with ABS in situ, BUT it may well interfere with its function. What I found on mine was ABS is trigger too early from the rears locking (partially) prematurely under heavy braking. Car nose dives under these conditions, suspension has an effect etc, but when the car is being stood on its nose, the light rear end, and over braked rear causes the ABS to cut in, reducing front braking effect a lot.

What you running at the moment then Bill? 4 bias valves, one for each corner with the ABS unit completely removed? Any coding need to be written out of the ECU to stop the car from shitting a brick when it realises theres no ABS?

the ABS isn't part of the EM ECU, it's got it's own.....

however - it pulls a signal from it for the TCS, you you need to retain some of it if you plan to keep that
