Bruises/leaks from under side mirrors

I have some ugly bruises on my 2001 cupra side doors .
Looks like leaks from under side mirrors , which appears to be more and more after every car wash.
Did you meet similar issue with your cars ?

water does tend to leak from here yes, but I don't get these marks. How do you wash you car and do you chamois it dry?

yeah, what are you drying with? The mirrors are "water pockets" on pretty much all cars

Do you dress the door mirrors with some kind of dressing? Looks like silicone staining.

But you could have a bit of dirt trapped in the wing mirror and the waters bringint it out. But it looks to me like its gushing out.

I only get a small trickle, not a gushing torrent like that (dried with a MF and Megs LT)

I do though mate and don't get this however I only handwash then chamois dry and never use motorised car washes etc

I live in Poland . Do we have hard water here ? Might be true
These marks looks like leaks from aluminium which got coroded (oxidation ? ) inside the mirrors.
Driver's mirror got coroded so badly that virtually fell off

Thats what I was also thinking as I have seen the wing mirror bases go limescaley on wing mirrors. Definetly something like that.

Handwash or touchless car wash . They do blow compressed air to dry the mirrors out.
But why this aluminium frame inside mirrors got coroded so badly ?
One day mirror wasn't folding anymore , few weeks later it just fell off.

if you open your doors after washing your car-if your car is on a slope as if your going down a hill it will drain most of the water off...
