Build date thread

Anyone else' following United Spirit? It was meant to be stopping at Sheerness early this morning, but looks as if its heading out without stopping, mine is meant to be taken to Tyne, so it doesn't bother me if that is the case unless there's an issue that it hasn't stopped!!?

Initially it was due to be built Wk12 (last week), then went to Wk21 when the War started then last week was at Wk27 (Mid July). This weeks update says Wk24! So its come forward. I don't believe it though. Ill be surprised to see it this year.

I hope yours really is on it’s way, I ordered a phev estate last August, it was suppose to be delivered on the 7th feb, build week was originally 2, the week before that was removed, no more info on the build week or what is actually happening with in

Mine is on lease order too, who have you ordered through, if you don’t mind me asking?

I ordered with Nationwide Vehicle Contracts who use JCT600.
I really don't think a PHEV will come this year, given new orders are 56 week lead times.
I've now ordered a 2L 310 petrol instead! Should be on the boat that's just arrived in the UK

i ordered an C* LEON ESTATE 1.4 EHYBRID VZ3 5DR DSG via lex on the 13/10/22 and at the moment its saying end of july for delivery. recon this will be delayed again ? as it was meant to be here early feb

Nah, I wish it had though, dealer is Crewe, they've said it'll be Tyne, although I've seen previously that that boat has stopped at Grimsby too, which is closer, but what do I know!!

Any news from your dealer yet? United Spirit docked in Tyne last week but I still haven’t heard if my car was actually on it!

Morning, i know mine was on it, I know it got built correctly, so the 2 options I specced.

I spoke to the dealer last week as he said there was some issue with pricing as the tax has changed (on a lease) I'm starting to get anxious that it won't be ready in time for next Thursday, which is when I'm due to collect, as I have a work trip to Edinburgh next Wednesday then getting train down to Crewe

Hopefully yours was on it. Who is your dealer?

My dealer is Faintree in Shrewsbury, I’m going to email them this morning I think.

Dealership confirmed my car is indeed in the UK, just waiting for details on when it’ll be picked up by a transporter.

Update from lease company. SEAT told them no SEAT Leon Hybrids will be built until November, so earliest delivery would be December, maybe Jan ‘23. They mentioned that my price would still be honoured if I kept the order open, then asked if I wanted to cancel…so I guess they would be able to sell the order to someone else at current prices for a nice big fat profit if I did! I’ll probably keep it unless I find something in stock to replace it with.
 
For anyone trying to gauge build times, I ordered a Leon Estate 1.5 eTSI Xcellence Lux during the first half of September '21 and my dealer has this week confirmed this week for build. So there is light at the end of the tunnel.
