Hi im buying a 2000/1 mk3 ibiza cupra within the next few weeks, hopefully one with a remap to approx 200/210 bhp.

Im wondering the part number or spec or even a link for a laguna dci intercooler instead of buying an expensive forge one i understand this is as good as buying a forge one can anyone help?

Im also wondering which turbo is the next step up form the standard 150bhp, and will i need to change manifolds etc? and what bhp gain could i expect as ive heard TT turbos will do the job.

Is it true that dump valves fitted to seat ibizas has to be recirculating? as id really like the pissst noise.

Idealy i would like my car to have a remap, a dump valve and an uprated turbo if a reasonable price (ie second hand or re-con)

Tahnks in advance.

how much you looking to spend.. as that gives us all a better idea of what to reccomend..

not sure ill spend till im happy, say a grand, but if it means 1200 for a lot more v f m then 1200 it is, i was thinking remap to 200 if the car i buy doesnt have it, then forge or laguna intercooler, then dump valve or cone filter on the end of the turbo (then ill get the woosh noise) right? then i wanna look at a bigger turbo (and maybe manifolds if i have to id like to get away with that if i could) what do guys think? or am i way off with these ideas?

Thanks.

Quick answers,,,

1, Yes has to be a recirc DV. won't get RST noise but with open filter and Bailey VV30 does make a good noise. (whole thread on dat, well about 30!)

2, I think a guy on here supplies and fits Laguna FMIC for £300.

3, Depends what TT, 180bhp (KO3s) yes this will fit and it's a direct fit although you won't see much gain if any with out induction, exhaust, FMIC, TIP, DV, Remap etc...

225bhp TT no as it's a KO4 and the turbo won't fit. JBS do a hybrid one though, 300bhp which inludes everything is £6000.

Well if tour getting a car thats remapped then fittinga bigger turbo it's gonna need another remap.

looking at more than 1200quid even if you get a laguna front mount and with a new turbo you can add atleast another 500quid on top

id budget about 1500-2000 for a standard car before turbo

For a grand you'll get Induction kit, Cat-back exhaust, remap and possibly a Laguna FMIC depending on what parts you get.

right, so if i get a laguna fmic, stick a cone filter on the end of the turbo and get a bailey recirc d v, and i revo re-map ill be looking at whay bhp? not too sure about a exhaust, id like a s/s thats going to help the breathing, but i dont want the noise, can anyone sugget a decent v f m s/s, with a revo stage 1 is it worth buying a sps1/2/3?

supersprimt exhaust. TBH i think you'd be better off spending £300 on suspension rather than FMIC if your not uprating turbo.

Im not a fan of lowered suspension after my last few cars have all had hard rides on lowered suspension, and probabily made traction worse, on my gte it did for deffo it was horrid in the wet so now im thinking about getting the power down before wasting it, my thinking behind the fmic (if it be a laguna dci or a forge) is that ill help reliability and mean that the turbo is the last thing to be changed when the time comes, and it"ll mean ill be able to get the most out of the stock turbo (that might be enough for me with the other mods im planning). what do you think?

I take it you had a nova???

You get wot you spend. Perfection comes at a price. If your gonna go to HALFRAUDS and get some BILLY NO NAME sports springs for £60 it's not gonna be great.

If you spent £300 on H+R Cup Kit it'll be amazing. On 16's it's not too hard or bumpy.

I know what you mean about lowering, My 106 was 110mm on the back and 90 on the front. Was basically undriveable where i live but it did look low!!!!!Not being funny the mods are up to you. Just cos you have a FMIC doesn't doesn't mean you'll get the most out of your turbo, You'll need a Turbo back exhaust ie. 2.75" Down Pipe, Samco TIP. It's not cheap!!!!! I think you'd be better off getting suspension. Wait till you drive one. Handling isn't the best. Not as bad as every1 makes it out to be but the improvements with a good kit are unreal. The ibiza i went in with H+R was amazing, did have 9" rear wheels but it was comfortable but at the same time felt like it was attached to rails!!!!

Yeah definately. I just think you'd be better getting supsensin than FMIC on standard turbo with not a lot of mods. IMO anyway. If a remapped KO3 runs 200bhp and a KO3s stage 2 runs around 240bhp surely fiiting a FMIC on a remapped KO3 won't make much difference.
