Camshaft Timing Adjustment Fault?

hi there....
had the same problem with one client (golf gti BWA). Solution: had to undo chip (back to original soft) and than went to dealer and made a software update, than rechiped the car and is fine now.... this was in 2008. try talking to a dealer near you and ask them to check if there is a software upgrade for your car....

Hi all, uim having tyhe same problem with my car this fault keeps comiong up, i have damaged the sensoe so its most likely that needs replaceing. i have to go for a 200 mile trip at the weekend, do you think the car is safe to drive? it still drives really well not hesitent at all?
