Hi guys, so i have found that my rear driver side footwell is wet. I did so searching and found a few problems it could have been. And it is none of them (few listed below)

Rear washer leak in boot.
Rear washer leak in rear driver trim.
Door seals.
Door card.

If anyone has any idea of what it can possibly be any info would be useful!

Im removing driver door trim tomorrow to check if the rear washer line is leaking.

Have you checked the drain holes in the bottom of the door?

They can get clogged and periodically chuck out a load of water.

To rule out washer fluid you can use some of the strongly scented stuff (eg Halfords purple). Can make it more obviously.
Other thing it could be is a dislodged floor rubber, some cars have blanking grommets installed in the floor. Not sure where or if the 1P has any...

Going to check drain holes today.

I do use halfords purple and it doesnt smell of the berrys exactly but there is a hint of it, also when trying to wipe up the wetness its soapy ill look for the grommet today also.

Thanks

Rear washer works, lines havent cone part in usual spot near the seat belt in boot. Followed the line all the way to the B pillar with no leak as of yet, is there another point where the lines can come apart?

Also checked drain holes and grommets, they are all in place and looking good.

How long has you had the car? If you bought the car recently it may be a case that the problem has been fixed prior to your ownership and it's just a matter of time to dry out the carpets.

I have had the car since October, noticed the problem late November early December. Ill message the seller and see if he knows of the problem.

Sounds like the leak might have been fixed but due to the cold weather it wi take a few months to dry out the carpet. The summer months will help dry it out
