Hi guys,

A while since I have been on since I no longer own a seat but my girlfriend does.

Some scum stole her car two days ago and it was recovered today, police report no damage as yet but car is locked and no sign of keys etc

Police CSI unit will be busting the lock to get in to car to get prints etc as we don't have a spare key meaning all locks needs changed on car

I see on ebay you can get a new lock set (filler cap, door barrel, ignition barrel and two keys) plus an ECU?

I have never come across this before but I assume that if you buy it with ECU you don't have to pay Seat the £170 fee to get a new key and have it programmed, is this correct?

To clarify it's a 2003 Ibiza 1.2 (3 cylinder) , I'm not actually sure if they are all 3 cylinder

The set on ebay is:

Any advise would be greatly appreciated

Immo will be in the instrument cluster i imagine, and at a guess i would say its Immo3.

All you need is a new lockset, new keys with virgin transponders, and somebody to code them all in.

The ECU isnt needed and wont help/make any difference. Even if you buy the ECU, it will still need to be paired/coded with the Immo in the instrument cluster, as will the keys.
