As the title states my mk1 LCR has had the n249 and evap systems bypassed by the previous owner. The electrical parts of both have been left plugged in which as far as I can tell is fairly common when performing these bypasses, however after around 50 miles I get the check engine light come on with codes

17608/P1200/004608 - Boost Pressure Control Valve (N249): Mechanical Malfunction
16825/P0441/001089 - EVAP Emission Control Sys: Incorrect Flow
How can I stop these codes from appearing without gettingthem mapped out? It's reply annoying having the cel luminated which is a pet hate of mine

I have actually got hold of some 330 ohm 10 watt resistors but in the guide I have found the ends are long enough to found back on themselves and the poke up enough to stick them in the wiring connector, but on the ones I have the ends aren't long enough which leaves me stuck!

Will these resistors stop the codes from appearing and how exactly can I get them installed? Do I need to cut off the connection and strip the wires and solder one wore on each side of the resistor?

Any help will be greatly appreciated
