centre brake light always on?

Is it normal for centre brake light stays on when car is started? even when headlight switch is off?
Mines just on, but when i press brakes its brightens.

Is this normal?

I take it you mean the third/high level one then no it's only supposed to be on when the pedal is pressed

I was thinkin that too, is this a wring short?
My epc light some times comes on, is that related...but only when im driving very slow in 2nd gear due bad weather, when when car idle or drivin normal speed its off...

The epc light relates to the brake pedal position check the switch is ok first

have you got LED's in your rear boot (side / brake) lights ?

when i did an LED converstion, i found that the rear brake light would 'glow' slightly even when the lights where not on

NO i havent adam, just have normal rear tail lights,
Just remmbered my rear left side light cluster dosnt come on if i tap it few tiem it comes on :s... wonder if its linked :s...

EPC light comes on when there is a problem with the brake lights - i.e. if one's out etc. The wiring for the 3d brake light is in the spoiler. Take out the middle grommit and there is a fast plug in there which the light plugs into - you may have to dig around but it's in there, I would take it out and check the connection. If not then probs look at sticky brake pedal switch...

Check the brake light bulbs..i had the same issue not too long ago.

Although the bulbs looked intact one of the brake light filaments was contacting the sidelight filament causing the 3rd brake light to illuminate dimly all the time.

For the cost of the 2 bulbs try them 1st.

jus had it checked, some brake lights bulbs are not working, so will replace them all, does reverse light bulb need changin too?

Just checked one brake lights high/low bulb is gone,
Guna replace the lot 2morow
