Changed cts coolant is now fine temp gauge problem

Probably clearing itself tbh i never check mine as the level is always in the right when when cold.

No I mean last time I emptied it and topped it up with g12 it was producing little bubbles in the expansion when I turned engine on to get it up to temp

Do u know what the code is on the climate control to get the fault codes up and temp of your coolant

I have one last quick question for u just went out to the car to check coolant level the bottle was about an inch above the thick rim round the middle of the bottle I opened it I released some pressure and then emptied to that line around the middle of the bottle why is this is there still air in there somewhere.

Sounds like an air lock still, check all pipes connection for a crystalisation effect, this indicates a leak.

A leak when the cars running there is never a puddle under the car when stood still

Are you loosing coolant all the time? Might be the pump seal?

The system was emptied and then filled back up Thursday night then I checked it Friday morning opened it and I swallowed loads of coolant so topped it up then the last two days it's been an inch over where it should have been and I opened it and it swallowed it and just dropped it to the level it shud be at

I'm gonna go out and do my thermostat in a min it looks easy on the 1.9tdi just looks like two bolts.

Just read that the aftermarket thermostats won't work u need an extra flange.

Yeah I got mine from a motaparts is it literally as easy as just taking one out and putting the new one in

Just lifted up my bonnet to do thermostat and the coolant is as high as the sensor

Should be around 1/2 way up the bottle
