I re bled it all last night so could just be where there was an air lock and I was still topping up fluid. If anything it will just bubble the excess over the top won't it

Ok, how can you have an excess if you have filled it to the middle? Water doesn't have sex with other water and make more water, it just expands when hot hence it rises and when cools down should sit at the right level.

Hence always check the level when cold.

I looked at it yesterday it was in the middle I ran it yesterday with the lid of for 40 mins till the thermostat opened just to make sure it was fully bled so wen I turned the engine off it was just below the sensor on the bottle checked this morning there was a bit of pressure in there like u sed there would be but the water level was same as when I turned it of last night

my guess is mate is that when you MIGHT of changed the thermostat you toped it up and turned on the engine over and cap on??i might be wrong but there must of been a air lock somewhere in the cooling system...so when you turned over the engine underpressure the coolant mark risen and when not underpressure it drops back down...

Just checked after it cooled down and level was bang on where it's ment to be then I opened cap and bottle filled up to level it was at this morning so I'm guessing there to much in there and I gotta take some out

How long did you leave it to cool down i check mine in the morning after not being since the day before, and it never moves from the middle of the tank.

I let it cool for bout 6 hours it's obviously too full it shouldn't be up by sensor anyway shud it

It should be on the seam of the coolant bottle

Check coolant level and top-up if necessary. When the engine is at normal operating temperature, the coolant level must be on the max. mark, when the engine is cold, between the min. and max. marks

I know this is what I'm saying mine I up by sensor so there is too much in it so if I syringe some out till its on the seam it be fine

JuSt done it to just above seem that's obviously why wen I opened it earlier it filled up more because there was too much in the system

It should be on the seam of the coolant bottle
