Changing brake light switch!

Hi,

Could anyone tell me how to change the brake light switch? I have the panel and old switch out, but when I put the new switch in the lights dont work?

Any help would be good!

Are all the brake lights inop?

Make sure the switch is clicked all the way around if they are

The lights dont work with the new one in, but they stay lit with the old one?

The new switch doesnt seem to be being pushed in when the brake pedal is released... The brake pedal seems to just 'sit' on the plunger of the new switch rather than press it in.

Anyone know what to do next?

Got it sorted, the switch wasnt clicked all the way round

No problems, the ratchet doesn't set inside until it gets that last click.

Yeah I figured that haha. Felt like it was twisted the whole way round, obviously not
Bit of force and it clicked into place
