you can buy the wheel bearing within the hub now, think they go for around 56pound, just means swapping the hub over, none of this pressing in and out buisness :p
 
You still have to press the bearing in even if its with the hub, genuine bearings have always been like that. The bearing comes complete with the drive hub, not the bearing housing. That on its own it just under 100 pound.

Has to be pressed in correctly as the ABS rotor is built inside, if its not pressed in far enough it wont work. Also you have to be very carefull of the outer clip on the bearing, it must seat properly into the bearing housing.

if its already pressed in then how can you press it in again? :shrug:
 
You have to remove the old bearing and hub from the bearing housing, then press the new bearing and hub into the old housing.
 
Book time is just over an hour. The housing needs to come off the bottom of the strut and then press the bearing out and back in.
 
got a 3tonne press at work! the luxuries of industries haha

I got some new tires fitted the otherday and i was amazed by the machine lol just thought were would we be without kool stuff like that lol.

It cost 15 grand though :-o
