Changing Stereo advice.

Hi all

I've just removed my stereo (Alpine mp3 unit) out of my old car ready to install into my new Ibiza when I get it at the end of the month.

Question is: What cable adapter do I need to go from the back of the Alpine stereo to the Ibiza wiring loom?

The Alpine has come out of my scooby, and when I installed it in that, I bought an adapter to go from the scooby 'plug' to the stereo, but I cant seem to find one listed for the Ibiza

The Ibiza I'm getting is an 07 Tdi 100 Sport, and does 'NOT' have the steering wheel buttons.

Could someone kindly give me a link to the cable I need

So are we saying that the Ibiza stereo connectors are standard iso?

If thats the case then thats what the Alpine connectors are. So am i right in saying I dont need an adapter?

if so then try it you might need to chnage the red and yellow wires around unless your lucky to have already done that...

i have an alpine in mine, it's got a ruddy great big white box out the back which makes it a total ball ache to fit into the tight confines of the ibiza

so i got someone else to do it for a tenner. and it's awesome

That will fit fine.

Just to help as well, you need to swap so its red to yellow

Yeah the fuse box is a **** to fit in.

lol if i was you i would put another earth to a arth point as mine squeeks all the time! till i get round to doing it myself!
