Chrome boot lifters?

Hello!

Has anybody tried to replace standard, black boot lifters (not bonnet!!!) with chrome ones? I know that it is possible in Leon using VW Golf lifters (there is how-to written by Pabs here) but what about Ibiza Mk3? I am wondering if these lifters fit Ibiza?

Got Mk4 Golf GTI Anniversary ones fitted to mine.....straight swap but the boot lid doesn't go as high as it did with the standard ones on...

I used to run MK4 R32 ones got them off ebay for £20 pair they are more than that each from VW!!

Seen these on volkbits for a mk4 golf cant see there being any difference between the R32 and the rest of the range but hopefully someone will confirm

All higher model VW's run the same ones, mk4 Anniversary, R32, V5, V6 4motion, Beetle V5 sport, Lupo GTI but think these might be slightly shorter, just keep an eye out.

Fitted them tonight only took afew minutes really easy, they are slightly shorter than the originals by about 1 inch so the boot doesnt open as high but still opens more than enough to get really good boot access plus the boot opens by itself now aswell so well pleased
