Cleaning Stainless Steel Exhaust

Hi All,

Just picked up my 05 Cupra R and am very pleased with the purchase.

The exhaust end is really tarnished with a lot of baked in dirt. Have tried to clean it with alloy wheel cleaner and this helped a little bit but has not done the job properly.

Any tips on how to get it clean with a decent shine? Have read about wire wool and autosol but wanted to get some other views first.

i use cooker cleaner on my exhaust, brings a nice shine

try brasso mate used it on my last ss exhaust

Autosol works well.

Autosol is very good but I'd recommend scrubbing it with a scotch pad and warm water first to get all of the dirt off.

00 wire wool with Megs, Raceglace, Autosol or any metal polish or even SRP.
