HI,

Has anyone ever tried these "DIY" fault code readers. seen a few about, this one looks like the best for the money and quality

I know vagcom would be best but i just want to know the fault code and i haven,t got a laptop. THis can also clear fault codes, correct?

Got a traction control light and ABS light on, which i think, through searching, is an ABS sensor but could do with finding out which one it is.

traction control may be down to maf sensor , my car done the same

Ive got one of those DIY fault code readers, same make but a different model and have tried it out which brought up no codes. Its easy to use tho and will cover most faults.

I had the abs and tcs lights on before on mine and it was an abs wheel sensor at fault.

Theyre quite cheap if i remember, about £25ish

cheers mate, was thinking it is probly the ABS sensors. Had the wheels off lastnight but they look fine and all the wiring is good, so i need the fault codes read ASAP.

Will be ok driving it like this for a week or 2 won't it till i buy 1 of them code readers as posted above?

should be ok driving as long as you take it easy.

try cleaning the sensors first, mine were covered in metal filings.

the code reader should tell you which wheels at fault tho.
