Thinking about upgrading my LCR to coilovers and wanted to know what else i should replace at the same time, i.e bushes, top mounts etc, don't want to pay 2 lots of labour if i can get everything done in one go.

I've had a read through suspension FAQ but it's 2 years old and the most recent reply never got an answer...

Cheers for the help! :D

Definitely replace the top mounts and top mount bearings, they are not that expensive and will tighten up the ride again. Its not totally necessary but, i found after i fitting mine that i had to go back and retro fit the one of the top mounts, i was not a happy camper, also make sure and use lubrication on them as they can squeak if they get dry.

Its not that hard of a job once you have the right tools and space, i used this guide for mine.

While you've got your wishbones free and you are going to need a 4 wheel alignment anyway, new wishbones bushes and an r32 front arb (about for bar, clamps and bushes from VW) :)

What are the best wishbone bushes to use? Powerflex? or OEM?

ARB fitting costs are so great because you have to drop the subframe; it is a bit of a b*gger to fit! I have powerflex in mine; but tt roadster bushes are a good compromise between comfort and handling.

You wont be able to get powerflex wishbone bushes for another month or so due to their fire .
I am having to wait, rang nearly everywhere trying to find remaining stock
