Hi All,
thinking of painting / spraying my standard wheels on my 03 MK 1 LEON.

out of work at the moment, so can't afford to buy new wheels.

any ideas please, photos would be a great help.

cheers

it's a great site. well done to the people who set it up.:seatgod:

What wheels are they?

On a red car, I think white or dark grey looks good. Depends on the car and the wheels though. Post some pictures of your car, side on if possible, and people will be able to tell what works and what doesn't :)

standard sx wheels.

got know pictures, daughter has got camera.

have to wait till i see her again to get camera back.

Are those the quite flat faced 5 spoke wheels?

If so, and if you don't want a light colour, dark grey would look good. Perhaps a highly lacquered finish for a bit of shine too.

used to spray wheels on wife's old MINI.

at meetings people used to say are they new wheels, wife said, husband just sprays them each year.

praise from wife !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm thinking dark wheels for my car... toyed with the white wheels/rally-look idea, but apparently white wheels are a right pain to look after. There was a white Evo 5 in the car park at work today, the body was clean but the wheels had already got dirty... that would drive me nuts!
I just can't decide which wheel design I like best (and can afford!)... :banghead2:

What colour on a Black LCR

Slightly changing the colour but not the subject, I was thinking of getting my original alloys done in a gold colour? anyone done the same or would it be really...chav...

Anyone that clud possibly do a photo thingymagig on it??

On the same subject I may also be considering swapping my LCR alloys for same size alloys if anyone has got any offers??

Gold LCR wheels on a black LCR is going to go either one of two ways... it will look fantastic and will be a genius decision... or it will look utterly hideous and you'll look a fool.

Would be a brave decision either way! :)

For the red id say go black. I have seen a few people ask this before and thought white would be best but after seeing a red cupra r on ebay with black rims on it i thought they looked stunning!

This is what you're after:

Black is too much IMHO, much prefer slightly smoked. The "Brake Dust" effect.

That looks stunning! :-o

Where is the front number plate holder though? Has that been removed totally?
