Had a chance to log some 130Pd ibizas today at a local meet

Heres the graph from the Intake temps

Would like to add they are from 2 different cars so I dont know how accurate they are

Think we can see that the Forge FMIC works very well

can i also add , that the forge FMICed car was my own car and the readings that were recorded in my car at full load in fourth gear where below wat the standard SMICed car achieved at idle parked up,

lol 90 degrees! haha
the idle temp will be higher than actual running temps as youre not running any cold fresh air over the fmic and alsothat at idle youre not shifting much air through anyway. the fmic makes a huge difference to temp figures.

Don't Forge already have this graph on their website? Both taken from the same car on what I presume is the same run, so a bit easier to compare.

Here's the Forge one.

Taken from a Revo'd PD130 if that makes any difference.

No need to be like that. Was just thinking it's a bit of a fairer comparison if the graphs are from the same car. :(

i can see all of forges temps are lower , were they done on a dyno , all of ours where on road so in my opinion more believeable. still shows a massive temp drop tho

Thats another thing to add to my shopping list!!

Are they easy to fit or is it best left to a garage?

BTW im a total novice when it comes to stuff like this

any fitting quotes would be appreciated

Cheers

from what I've seen the Forge FMIC performs at least as well as the Cupra FMIC.

with my old ibiza pd130 (revo'd), on hot days (28+) I'd see intake temperatures in excess of 80 degrees, which would cause lots of heatsoak, and thus the ECU pulling back.

With the FMIC on, intake temperatures wouldn't go above 45...much better

Not unless they built a dyno in their workshop while I had my head turned. ;)

kyle, to compare the pd fmic to the leon cupra one, external temps around 4.5-5 degrees (indicated) that was in 4th gear heading up the hill out of dundonald towards newtonards so quite a hefty load on the engine. id never normally hold onto 6800 and beyond tho, usually around 6k rpm.
