Had the problem from day 1 in August. Been to dealers once, not fixed. They will look again when car goes in for new door module for the alarm/locking problem in another thread.

Car into dealers last night for alarm part problem.

Both front doors now have the problem. Put window down/up a couple of inches and the interior of the glass is soaking.

The courtesy car, a 56 Altea, also has the same thing.

Car is back, they replaced all seals on both front doors.

Front windows still wet through on the inside if you put window down a couple of inches and back up again.

At least Seat northern manager was at garage and saw problem, so I guess I'm back to waiting for a fix.

Mine has gone in today to have window seals replaced with a view to it fixing the leak into the car from the bottom of the door?! I'm thinking it won't help!

I can live with water on inside of windows but not under drivers carpet.

Amethyst in Cheltenham have sorted the water on the inside of the windows problems for me. Not entirely sure of what they did but it involved silicon, a new window seal, a grommit and a slight modification in the door, top lads there @ Amethsyt.

I've washed car with pressure washer, left it outside in pouring rain and driven through puddle riddled roads, no water on inside of glass (or under carpet!)

Hi, I am having this problem on my new Toledo, but the front 3/4 of the driver window is wet inside, the rear 1/4 is dry?? not happening with other windows, although dont use passenger side one very often. any word of a fix as yet, even temporary?

im kinda sick of the water being under the driver carpet.... can anyone GUIDE me on the first thing i should do?

It didn't cost me anything as its a warranty issue.

The car is going to dealer next week to have passenger window sorted too.

As for the leak they think it down to too much water getting into the door and then dripping into the car.

Fahafiz - best thing to do is get your car to the dealer, it could be the drainage holes being blocked in the door or something not fitted properly within it.

I'm going to keep an eye on my carpet over next few months to make sure all is ok.

I've got the wet glass inside on the doors too.

Not impressed.

Never ever had this on any car I've owned. Cars I've owned include a Triumph Spitfire, Clios, a Golf and 3 Ibizas.

Not a happy pixie.

Before I bought my new Leon, I had a test drive in one with 60 miles on the clock.

The guy showed me to the car and the the rear screen was wet inside with condensation (he had to wipe it before we could set off!). I took a look in the boot and it was clear it had been wet under the boot cover (condensation everywhere and a nice early mould smell). In addition it was obvious that the rear seat had had some water on it at some point too).

It would seem that this is an issue with Leons (even as new) so you should make sure that they know that you know it's a problem with Leons when you talk to the dealer about any problems you have.

Touch wood: mine's ok so far (and it's rained nearly every soddin' day since I got me new car )

Could this be good news at last. I have been waiting for almost a year to get this problem fixed. I e-mailed Seat UK last Monday on the very subject but still waiting for a reply.

Lets hope the "FIX" becomes common to all dealers very soon.

Guess what happened today, after the car stood all day in showers I drove about 40 miles and in a traffic jam I lowered the drivers window. On raising the window i was amazed to see the inside of the glass wetter than the outside !
Is it worth taking to the dealer as it doesn't seem anyone else has got any results ? I know it's not worth calling customer service as I have already experienced there total lack of care.

call trading standards mate, they will advise wisley,

i would complain to seat uk first, and get a ref!!!!, then call trading standards, you can tie the refs together and TS will keep a running log for you and advise each step.

im beginning to think BBC Watchdog time,

rumor has it, seat know about all these issues and know the VIN's that are affected by what parts, but they fail to release the info as they claim its not a safety issue, if thats the case why did my car get urgently recalled 2 weeks after my purchase for an incorrect sticker in the engine bay???? baffling

Have emailed Seat, don't suppose a reply will be forthcoming as I got no reply last time and nowhere with phone calls. I don't think me and the FR will stay together for long purely down to the level of service.

From another thread 'wet drivers door', someone has had the water on the inside of the glass sorted :

"Dealership was Amethyst in Cheltenham, forgot the name of the mechanic but window is bone dry on inside now he has fitted new seal, used silicone, installed grommet and "modified" something in door. May get them to do passenger window too."

I've printed this out and handed to my dealer, still waiting to hear the outcome.

As you say, Seat customer service are terrible.

Yep, were going to try Amethyst when its service time, had enough of the blatent lies from my current dealer.

Spoke to the dealer who say they have never heard of this problem before !
seat customer service rang me just to acknowledge my email and are supposed to be looking into it ! I have pointed them at this thread, seems nobody has ever heard of the windows being wet on the inside. Now where is that Alfa brochure.
