Only on certain convenience modules. For example, mine uses a set of four codes, one for each of the windows. Most cars use a set of three codes, which are fault tolerant copies of the same number.

99% sure that's the case, sorry. To be honest, I tend to wind mine down automatically to cool the car down, then as things get comfortable I manually wind the rears up.

the KVW100 will work on golf mk4 definatly 100% but im not sure about this way , just try it mate if not you can deactivate it
do not to use kvw100 if possible

I'm fairly sure the VDS-Pro option will work, the Czech software is a 50:50 bet but worth a go, and the KVW100 is 100% but I wouldn't recommend it at all.

Hi a friend popped over last night and we managed to use vagcom / VCDS (pressuming lite as it wasnt DOS)
and got the the lock/unlock beep to work
couldnt find where the window unlock is? can any point me in the right direction?
also we used an OBD2 to USB lead but when i ran the motordiag software it wouldnt allow connection, just said cable not ready or incorreclty connected, tried on 2 lappies and was 100% on the correct port.
any help would be great

Vagcom/VCDS won't do the windows. If you tried the motordiag software and couldn't get it working, check the earlier posts in this thread as other people have had similar troubles and got it working.
is there anyone in the medway area that can do the bleep and windows for me for some beer tokens?

I did have one of those plug in, wait for the beep units. It never worked, just beeped intermitently.
My keys can make the windows go up and down, I think this one of the things you needed to check it worked with the OBI plug in stick.
