around town, i dont even bother looking at the mpg because I bought an LCR for fun! otherwise I would have bought a derv...

but motorway driving usually get nearly 38-40mpg driving at 70 but as soon as i do 80/85 it drops to 32/33mpg.

To get 30mpg from a tank if you fill up a little after the light coming on you need to have done 350/360miles+ - not many achieve this. I think most people think they get more mpg than they actually do.

I tend to fill up before the light even comes on (about 50 litres), and will get 350-ish if being peaceful :) and 325 if not. That equates to approx 32 and 28 mpg respectively. From looking at the trip computer, when driving boringly, I get 36-38 on a 15 trip to (or from) work... so the trip computer (on my car anyway) seems to completely balls. I look at it to get a relative value to other trips, but work out real tank mpg based on litres and miles.

I don't see how you all get >35mpg on long journeys. Are you reading this from the average mpg computer in the car or calculating from miles and fuel?

Max on the motorway I get is 33mpg and mixed driving 27mpg.

averaged 21mpg since I bought the car 40000 miles ago.. can't say it hasn't been driven properly though!

Neither can i never been that high on the mpg and i have standard 225 and use v power. Your figures here is what i get the majority of the time 27 and 33

on a trip to liverpool from halifax i saw 41mpg in my LCR was driving like a gran and quite abit in road works, went to leeds other day an got 36.8 :) around town i get around 25-28 unless heavy right foot

Can't believe the difference in results people are getting from essentially the same car.

my results seem a million miles away from the stated 32.1 combined and the 42.8 extra urban figures officially stated.

Am goin off the readings it gives me, as I know current combined an trip mpg, wen my mate worked it out it he or it was about 2mpg out

Yeah, I got 41 mpg (off trip computer) on my way to work the other day, 13 miles of A road. Usually average around 36 - 38 mpg on this trip (its a standard LCR). Don't know how I managed to get to 41.

consindering the M1 is mostly 50mph most the way is probably why im getting such good results!
