correct oil ?

Hi there
am doing an oil change this weekend on my mk1 fr 1.8, Petrol ,, what oil should i be using have read 10w-40 and also 5w-40 ? which should i use . also what brand is best to go for or does it not really matter if you go decent .. Also is one 5ltr bottle enough as the manual says it holds 4.5 ? anyone with advise would be great as i need to get some oil sorted before hand cheers

is that the fully synthetic stuff the synta gold or whatever it is ? where can i buy the stuff

Can't find the recipt but its the stuff they use at Seat and its synthetic, you get it from main dealer .....I got mine from TPS tho as they have a account where my dad works.

Its definatly 10/40 tho

its 5 40 synta gold, now changed to PLATINUM. 5W 40. you can use 10 40, 0 30 5 30 everybody will say different and use different..
