Very happy after having my cruise control fitted!!!!

The 150miles return journey in the fog was very easy and going through average speed cameras is now also a lot easier.

Got it done at www.unit18.co.uk or in other words at our resident VW mechanic :)

Ross - many thanks mate for the great service!!!

How much did it cost?

I would fancy this as well......if the price was right.

Deffo worth it, I use mine all the time as I love having both eyes on the road rather than one eye on the speedo needle.

I wouldn't want a car without it now.

To a few of you that have PM'd me about cost and fitting, please drop a line to Ross - his email is above - and I'm sure he'll be more than happy to respond

had mine in my FR since April a week after getting the car, cost me £80 for stalk and cables, and a case of beer for my dad for fitting!

he also fit it to my mam's 08 plate 1.2! he had to swap a part out of my bro's 02 plate 1.2 to get it to work though, i'm sure the techie would know what that was!

i use the cc for every journey at some point, even the 5 mile twisty road drive to work, i just think using it the car will use what fuel it needs to to get there rather than me over or under compensating and wasting fuel.

I can have a good guess what it was Mark. It seems most of the newer cas have that now which is a shame.

i really want CC fitted might buy it for my xmas present LOL!
i've looked at pic's of the new stalks and they have the button on the right stalk for using the MPG thing. ( i'm guessing thats what that is)

is there any way of getting that to work aswell ?

Remember that cruise control does what it says on the tin (controls your cruising speed) nobody ever said it is designed to give super fuel consumption but whilst controling your cruising speed it does quite a good job with the MPG. (better than the average driver could be bothered to try and get)

If you don't have the MFA computer you would need a new dash insert plus wiring.

Cruise stalks can be provided with or without MFA controls.

However stock levels of the stalks are pretty low, I guess this is due to the fact not many Ibiza or Polo models had cruise from factory. Both sporadically go on back order.

Probably not that much longer than it took Moses to come from Manchester, but he did indeed.
