Cruise control light

Hi All,

I've just joined having found the site on google (looking for info on the recalls).

We've just bought an Altea 2.0TDi. We're very pleased with the car , but I've noticed the cruise control light doesn't actually come on.

The cruise control appears to work fine otherwise.

Please could anyone confirm whether the warning light in the speedo should come on & what colour it is (I'm guessing yellow from the others).

does the instructions state that it should come on?

there is no cruise indicator in leons... are you expecting the altea to be different?

... and don't hesitate to try out the forum's search function, you'll may find even more interesting posts concerning the CC, for instance

AndyCupra - The manual does mention the light & says it should come on when cruise is activated. I can see the icon in the speedo, but it never lights up

Klaus - Thank for that, I should have searched the forum more thoroughly . C-Se7en says "Firstly, when cruise control is activated, the icon isn't t displayed notifying me in the speedo/dash.", that sounds like my issue, so I guess there is no fault.

It seems weird that the light is there, but not used. I assumed the LED had failed, so I wanted to check the colour before I dismantled the instrument panel & replaced it. I guess I've been saved the effort
