Cruise Control Cut out

Hi All,

Just had this cruise control issue with my Altea 2.0TDi DSG, working fine on way to work then suddenly stopped working at all.

Checked out this forum for answers found this thread- cleaned switch as per instruction Cruise control now works fine.

Many Thanks to one and all.:D

Faulty light?

Hi,

My cruise control works but I get no light on the dash to say its turned on.
The dealer says that there is no light fitted. Is this normal?
('57 FR 2.0 TFSi)

Is that "yes, it's normal for there to be no light fitted" or "yes, it's normal for the dealer to say there's no light fitted" ?

IIRC the SE has the large MFD display as standard and on this there is a criuse light function. For us lesser beings (where we didn't specify the bluetooth option) we have the small MFD display that scrolls through instantaneous consumption, ave. consumtion, clock, trip... and on this there is no cruise light.

On the newer models, event without the dotmatrix screen you will have the Cruise Control light!

As I don't have a working light does anyone know if it's possible to fit one?
I can see that there is a place for it in the instrument cluster.

1) Yes ... I know
2) Yes ... it's possible to fit an LED there (as you can tell by the space)
3) No ... it won't be a working light ...
as the circuit board (?) misses the connection, i.e. the small dot-matrix cluster isn't fully equipped when it comes to modelyears 2006-2008
(don't know about the newer models, but if A2day (hi pal ) says so, I'll bet he's right, as he's always well informed.)

... at least, this is what I've learned from our german 5P-board.

greets .... Klaus
