Cupra CAMS

Just doing some research to see who has changed their CAMS on their 1.8T Cupras? Any info will be of assistance...Whilst on this question, any1 with upgraded valve-train?
Currently leaning towards 8L S3 CAMS...

Thx for the reply mate, but I have found from various 20vt race engineers that the 262 degree exhaust cam is all that is required the intake side is spot on...

We use standard cams on all of our Big Turbo applications!
There is no need to upgrade!

Can't cams can give you a higher RPM?

yes thay do but you dont need them really cose the power in the 1.8 turbo is low down power so why spend 500+ on cams that rev to 8 grand wen the power is 2/to 5rpm

Depends on what turbo you run. Bill (ibizacupra) has a 9k rev limit on his motor with a GT35.....

You will need to do valves to go over 8k I think.

yer your right matey its a lot ov work tho and money, bet that sound mint at 9 grand but still got to be carefull a frend of a frend had a civic jordan and got it reving to 10 & hafe grand and bent a valve needless to say the only thing left on the block and head was a cam pully (HO dear) lol
